Treatment specifications
This type of anodizing is mainly used for decorative purposes, in low-aggressive environments, as it fails to protect aluminum from wear and tear.
In addition to its acquired work capacity, Mochem is able to offer technical, chemical and metallurgical knowledge of materials, combined with advice on any issues related to the construction of the part prior to treatment.
Treatment features
COLORS
Natural anodizing comes in a light silver color (depending on the alloys), which allows for black, red, blue, gold, green or orange coloration through the use of pigments that penetrate the oxide layer: this finish provides excellent color rendering, corrosion protection and slight resistance to abrasion or chipping.
However, it is not possible to color cast aluminum alloys that have a silicon content greater than 7 percent, as the oxide is very dark in color and therefore the only color that can be added is black.
SPECIAL PROTECTION
Just in the case of hard anodizing, natural anodizing can also protect parts of the surface or holes with special methods while offering maximum assurance of the resulting oxide.
